First and for most, if you didn’t know, I used to be a fitness instructor in college and taught fitness classes like Bootcamp, turbo kick, yoga, ETC. However, I was at a phase in my life where I had an unhealthy relationship with exercise and decided to walk away.

Anyways I have been able to love fitness and exercising and found a balance with the relationship.
NO, I don’t work out or exercise every day!!

Currently, due to the pandemic and living in California most of the time, I have been working out at home. I have had to find new workout ideas and exercises to help keep me motivated.

I am the biggest LOVER of fitness classes, I love going to Orange theory fitness or any other workout class. I love having people around me and the community of working out together.

I pulled the plug and purchased a NordicTrack treadmill, AND it’s one of the best decisions I have ever made. We live in such an unpredictable world that having access to a treadmill in my own home has changed the game for me. Yes, I know I live in California and know what you think you can go run or walk outside. YES, that is true, and I am so grateful to live in a place with fabulous weather. However, NordicTrack has a program called IFIT, very similar to the peloton, where they have workouts available for one to do.

Second favorite if you haven’t yet STOP what you’re doing, you need to get this crop tank, sports bra from AMAZON. I wear my every single day! These are my go-to workout tops! And make sure you get the one with the adjustable straps! I also love that they have removable pads. I have washed and died them a zillion times, and they hold up super well in the washing machine!

Third, if you haven’t gotten yourself on the HOKA shoes yet, you need to! I wrote a whole blog post here. On why these are the BEST tennis shoes, for every day! I think it’s so important to invest in good tennis shoes especially for exercising or any fitness activities. Think about it: we are standing on our feet; we need good posture and comfortable and durable shoes!

 

 

Four, are these microfiber towels, now yes, these are a fitness favorite of mine! I have used many different times of workout towels to wipe my sweat when running or in a hot yoga class. These microfiber towels are one of my favorites! Any other towel I have used has been rough, i feel like it’s putting rocks on my face. Also, these hold up amazing in the washing machine! I have washed and dried these so many times, and the color and durability last!

Other random items:

Athletic socks: I have been loving lately are these SOCKS!
( need a good pair of socks when working out is clutch)

Resistance bands: when doing at-home workouts, these come in handy, take up less space, and aren’t as bulky as or heavy when having weights.
